Marshall, 57, who let in the Shockers back to national connection in attaining the 2013 Final Four and won the greater games in program history during his 13 seasons, gained an agreement with WSU that will pay him $7.75 million over six years, the school circulated in a release. This was a tough decision, but one I feel was important for my family, the university and, most essentially, the student-athletes,” Marshall said in the release. “I remain thankful for my years spent at Wichita State. I desire to thank the coaches, student-athletes, the university, the group, and all of Shocker Nation for their countless dedication, support and faithfulness. I am immensely proud of this men’s basketball program and all it has attained over the past 14 years and am self-reliant of its constant success.”
